After visiting Rome you may want to see more of Italy, there is so much to see and such a varied choice, Tuscany and Florence, Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, perhaps stopping at Pompeii on the way. Just as an example between Rome and Florence, some of the fascinating towns on this route are Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio, Todi, Assisi, Sienna, San Gimignano, also these areas are well know for their culinary specialities and wineries which can be be visited, since we are driving why not take advantage!!
